Homework Day.

I woke up early on this fine fine Saturday in April to buckle down and get some much needed homework done. But before I did, I stopped by Ida Maes to visit with my good friend Taylor.

Never underestimate the power of seeing a friend after a long time. It was so great to see her and it wasn’t until after we finally sat down together that we realized that we hadn’t seen eachother since Thanksgiving! Once we said our goodbyes and promises to meet up again soon, I drove my little car, Fiona, to one of my favorite places in the world: Coffee Talk in Taylors Falls Minnesota.

I got a vanilla latte, my favorite place by the window, and a big burst of Molly motivation. And with that and the flip of my laptop, I had begun the long four and a half hour session of researching articles and writing about very boring things.

It was a bright sunny day though, and I’m glad that I had a warm spot by the window to take in the sunlight.

You know, I wish that I wouldn’t worry so much about homework. It sounds so stupid but it can stress me out so much. And it gets to the point where I don’t enjoy the moments I’m in. For example, If I’m not doing homework I end up feeling guilty and miserable about not doing it.

But after walking along the river that evening, I felt better. Hopeful.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.” Psalms 18:2
